I saw this in a department store and decided I had to have it. I ended up ordering it over the web and saved some money. This is incredibly simple to work. Plug the cord into the unit. Plug the cord into an outlet. Plug your iPod into the unit and turn it on. The sound quality is amazing. The Maxxbass system gives a clear and rich sound. Usually with units this small the sound comes out rather tinny but that's not the case here. And don't be afraid to crank up the volume either. When you plug the unit it to an outlet, it will charge your iPod while you're listening. I think it charges the battery faster then on my computer at home. But you can also use 4 AA batteries and play the unit that way. However it won't charge the iPod when using batteries for power. On the back are additional jacks for a headphone, auxiliary outlet if you want to play another type of a device and a place to connect it to your computer. This is a first rate unit that can be used anywhere and produces great and full sound.

WOW! I was looking for a compact portable speaker setup for my iPod for travel and the office. I freely admit I'm hooked on good quality sound - my listening room at home is cluttered with Mark Levinson, Bryston, Audio Research, Wilson WATT/Puppies, etc. I love good quality sound. I was looking for a "reasonable" portable listening experience for when I didn't want to use earphones. This cute little gadget just blew me away. Bass is amazingly full and tight for such little speakers. Norah Jones just purrs. Wynton Marsalis' horn has that blatty brassiness I love. Don't get me wrong - this would never be a primary system. But for what it's designed for, WOW! 4 AA batteries and an iPod and for 1 lb 10 oz including batteries and iPod, you've got a great traveling system. Give it a try.

I gave this to my husband for his birthday and he loves this easy to use piece of genius from the ipod group. It was a great traveling companion in Mexico! Romantic music, salsa dance tunes, and all of our favourite songs were with us daily, whether on the beach or in private. With the sound of a true stereo system we were very impressed with the inMotion Plus.

I gave this as a gift and the recipient absolutely loves it. It's extremely lightweight for traveling and for use without a power source. The sound quality if much better than we expected . . . a very nice surprise. Its modern design, size and weight is perfect for bringing your music with you wherever you go and for sharing with others.

This unit really knocked my socks off and curled my toes! I was not expecting much in the way of stereo separation due to the close proximity of the speakers, but I was pleasantly surprised to find Altec Lansing had managed to create a great sound stage with this unit. Many of my favorite tunes and favorite singers come through in such an intimate and brilliant way through this unit that it's almost as if I'm not only hearing the music for the first time, but also hearing it in far greater detail. This was especially evident in vocal tracks and during piano passages.

I also noted that my iPod was always getting very, very warm when charging via the Apple's dock, but that's not been the case with this unit. My iPod is much cooler while charging or playing in this unit, and if you know even a little about integrated circuits, you know heat is not a good thing!

Anyway, back to the sound quality: It's really wonderful! Plus, you can use other MP3 players or audio devices with this unit thanks to the included two-headed 3.5mm stereo cord.

On the back panel of the unit you'll find an AC port, headphone port, AUX port and the iPod docking cable port. That's right, you can use this unit as your docking port for use with iTunes!

There are so many nice features and touches to this unit that I continue to get the warm fuzzies when using it. This is a great gift, for you, or a loved one!

Not only are they much more comfortable than Apple's earbuds, but they sound fantastic -- to my ears, dramatically better than Apple's iPod earbuds.

Moreover, they are louder than Apple's earbuds, provide better bass response, are much more comfortable, fit more more ears and heads, and they are far, far less prone to falling out.
